What should I do before I staying or moving overseas?

Coincheck does not provide services to certain countries.This page provides a list of those countries, precautions, and procedures to follow when returning to your home country.

If you have already traveled to one of the affected countries, please refer to the "Procedures upon your return to Japan" and "Precautions" at the bottom of this page.

Please be advised that access to our services will be partially or completely restricted, if a user travels to these countries and attempts to access our services.

Precautions

The list of eligible countries will be updated as necessary, so please check back when you plan to travel abroad.

We may send you a confirmation email based on your usage status. If you do not respond by the deadline, we may restrict your use of the service.

If your account has been restricted, please contact us using one of the following methods to have your account reactivated.

- Please enter your response to the "confirmation e-mail" sent by us and send it back to us.

- Contact us inquiry using the "Inquiry Form" . Please be logged in to Coincheck when making your inquiry.

Please note that the Coincheck app (iOS/Android) is only available in Japan and cannot be downloaded (including new and updated versions) outside of Japan.

Procedures when returning to Japan

(1) Contact Coincheck after logging in

Please log in to your Coincheck account within Japan and send the following five details through the inquiry form while logged in.

Select “If you return to Japan” as the inquiry type.

Details to provide:

  1. Name of destination country:
  2. Length of stay: YYYY/MM-YYYY/MM
  3. Purpose of trip (e.g. travel, work, study abroad, etc.):
  4. Have you returned to Japan: Yes/No
  5. Change in registered address: Yes/No

(2) Confirm your registered address

Please confirm your registered address from the URL below. If your current address differs from your registered address, update your information through the same URL as in (1).

Note:

We may send postal mail for confirmation after your return to Japan.

Please make sure your information is accurate.
